DigiBee Flash Unit DB800 DEALS
The DigiBee DB800 Flash Unit is a remarkable product. Paul C Buff has always been an industry leader in photography equipment and tools, I have been personally using them for years, and the lights have never failed me. Before this unit, I had the Alien Bees B800 flash unit for almost six years. Studio photography is my specialty and, in most circumstances, is 95% of my portfolio. A plus for studio photography is no adverse weather, sunlight, heat, cold, etc. I have complete control inside my studio to control the light. I dove into video production work for social media and various platforms during the last couple of years. LED lighting is key to lighting a “set in video production.” I did not want to purchase LED lighting separately from my studio strobes.
I found the DigiBee DB800 Flash Unit from Paul C Buff. They have been on the market for several years, and I never needed the usability of LED and strobe lights prior. So at the end of December, I took the plunge and ordered four of these units, and I have never been more pleased with my purchase. The lights have completely changed my work, generated a well-balanced image, and produced beautiful video light. And for the grand finale, all lighting modifiers will still fit the Balcar mount style that Paul C Buff uses.
Main Features:
Seven f-stop power variability (2.5 Ws to 160 Ws)
Adjustable in 1/10 f-stop increments from full to 1/64 power
All-digital controls with LCD
Ultra-bright LED modeling lamp (400W equivalent, daylight-balanced)
Internally fan-cooled for heavy-duty use
Visual and audible recycle indicators
Standard 120 VAC, 50-60 Hz power requirements
You will not be disappointed in purchasing these lights. See some sample images below. Adding modifiers, color gels, and an Optical Spot modifier, I created beautiful product images of the Alien Bees B800 lights that I was selling.
Paul C Buff’s customer service standards are impeccable, and they are always a pleasure to work with if you have questions or concerns about the product. And if you would like wireless triggering and light control, be sure to pick up the Cyber Commander™ and CyberSync™ Transceiver to ensure a fully wireless setup. The Cyber Commander will allow you to adjust the flash output modeling light and can also serve as a light meter. I will be posting additional sample images from my upcoming shoots the equipment information will be located at the top of the post.
