Model Information

Vincent Alain Photography specializes in male portrait photography. Published Photographer with over 15 years of experience. In-studio and on-location photoshoots to create unique images. Review the information below to answer frequently asked questions (FAQs). If you are interested, please submit the contact form located at the bottom of the page.

How does this work?

I focus on male physique/nudes. If you are concerned that others will see the images, or if you are concerned how and where your images are used, there is no need to contact me. Once you sign the model release, there is no turning back. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Every model must be at least eighteen (18) years or older and must agree to a model release form (example below). Most photoshoot sessions take approximately 3 hours to complete.

I am looking for athletic, well-defined models with trim to muscular physiques. Take a look at the models on this website to see some examples. I prefer to work with models between the ages of 18 and 35.

The process is quite simple:

  • Discuss & set a date

  • Discuss concepts & ideas

  • Determine expectations & goals of the photoshoot

  • Answer any final questions & address any concerns

What does this cost me?

  • For shared portfolio use, there is no cost to the model.

  • For any images licensed, the model will be paid.

What to bring, When to arrive, etc.

Arrival

On the day of the shoot, please arrive at the agreed-upon time, and the mandatory paperwork and model release form will be signed.

We will also arrange the wardrobe plan.

Recommended items that you bring

  • A pair of jeans

  • Button down dress shirt

  • Tee-Shirt

  • Underwear/Swimwear

  • Tank Top

  • Athletic Wear

Any additional items/clothing recommendations will be discussed per photo-shoot needs during the planning phase.

It is better to bring too many options than not enough.

Optional items you can bring

  • Zip-up hoodie

  • Full suit

  • Leather jacket

  • Sportswear/Gym wear

  • Specialized props

  • Themed looks

Ideally, try and keep any logos to a minimum or non-existent. Additional items can be discussed directly with me prior to the shoot.

Clothing tips

  • Solid colors work best

  • Clothing should fit well and be free of wrinkles

  • Try and avoid patterns

  • Tighter fits are preferred but not required.

  • Clothing with various textures and layers (vests, jackets) can add interest.

  • Worn or distressed clothing can also add some distinction to the shoot.

  • To make your eye color pop, consider the following: Blue eyes may be enhanced by blue, green, brown, or gray shirts. Green eyes with earthy tones or subtle grays. Brown and hazel eyes tend to have a wider range of colors that enhance them.

Preparation

  • Arrive with clean skin lightly moisturized.

  • It is strongly suggested that you do not experiment with new skincare products or facials close to the day of your shoot.

  • Getting a crisp haircut/trim prior to your session is good, though it is recommended that you do not drastically change your hairstyle or hair color from the look you had upon booking.

  • Please do not use bronzer or apply tanning color as it tends to appear blotchy and unnatural in photos and will require additional time to correct. If you do apply a bronzer or tanning color, be sure to do so 24-48 before the shoot allowing enough time to shower beforehand so the color appears natural.

  • If you are planning to tan before our shoot date and are prone to skin redness after tanning, please ensure enough days have passed from the tanning session to avoid having reddish skin tones during the shoot.

  • For a physique-oriented shoot, we may apply some oil/gel for added sheen and muscularity.

Cancellations & Rescheduling:

  • Photoshoots that have to be canceled can be rescheduled as soon as possible, depending on both parties' schedules.

  • Please communicate if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any form of communication is better than being a no-call/no-show.

After the Shoot

Final Images

The images from the session are finalized and provided to the model generally within 2-3 weeks. Any delay will be communicated with the model.

Images will be provided to the model via a secured Google Drive link. It is the models responsibility to download, save, and archive images. They will only be available for 30-45 days. The link will then be disabled.
